Arkane's 2017 immersive sim strands the player aboard Talos I, a station orbiting the Moon, against the Typhon — aliens that can disguise themselves as everyday objects.

Prey skips the classic "lights in the sky" and stages first contact in orbit instead. Aboard Talos I, a station circling the Moon, protagonist Morgan Yu wakes to find the place overrun by the Typhon, a shadow-black alien lifeform. The eeriest of them are the Mimics, which snap into the shape of a coffee mug or a chair — turning "the enemy is right in front of you and you can't tell" into a mechanic. It all rests on an alternate timeline: Kennedy survives his assassination, the superpowers are forced to cooperate, and the space race explodes because of an alien threat. At heart it's a parable about humans finding an alien organism and trying to strip-mine it for power. [1]
