On the evening of a successful facility test, ground personnel reported 'thuds as if something fallen' and helicopter [CALL SIGN 1] launched a daytime mountain search. Between 22:27 and 22:57 the rotor crew (NVG), Witness 1 (naked eye) and a LP/OP observation post (FLIR) logged sequential orange orbs 'flaring up and flaring down in reverse order' — pairs, then threes, then four-to-five in horizontal lines, with multiple triangular formations.
