It flips the 1950s alien-invasion B-movie: you play Crypto, a saucer-flying alien, skewering Cold War panic, government cover-ups and Area 51 lore along the way.

Developed by Pandemic Studios and released in 2005 for the PS2 and Xbox[1], *Destroy All Humans!* casts you not as an Earthling resisting invasion but as Crypto, a Furon alien piloting a flying saucer to harvest human DNA across a spoof of 1950s America. The saucer comes fitted with a death ray and an abduction beam — the classic flying-disc archetype (see the catalogue's flying disc / saucer). The whole game lovingly copies the look and tone of period invasion B-movies, dragging the era's Red Scare and saucer craze on stage to be mocked.
